Hello friends and fellow Mac enthusiasts. I'm new to Mac-Forums, and grateful for any help on this, thank you in advance. I know I need to update, but am currently using Yosemite 10.10.5 I can't open my website(s) in iWeb! The program opens, but it won't show or open my website, which I now can't update. The website is on my hard drive, iWeb just won't open it. Please help with this if you can. I tried Check For Updates in iWeb but it said (This Version 2.0.4 is the Current Version).

My MacBook Pro is 2012, pre retina model.

Any suggestions most appreciated. Thank you!

P.S. Please note, to try to remedy this I went into my old laptop, and copied Domain from User>Application Support>iWeb, and from Preferences I copied Com.Apple.Plist.iWeb. Still no dice.

There must be a way to use iWeb on my new computer. Thank you for any help.

What happens if you just double-click the Domain.sites file?

Hi mrplow. Thank you sincerely for responding. Do you mean User>App Support>iWeb> Domain? That file? I double clicked on it; it opened iWeb, but not any of my sites. Also if I use Command + O to open a site within iWeb, still nothing. Is that the file you meant? If so, I hope for further suggestion on this issue.

By default it should be in:

Home Folder/Library/Application Support/iWeb

Hi. Thank you yes; it is there, and double clicking on it opens iWeb, but the program still doesn't allow me to open or access the website, which is intact in my Sites folder where it should be.

Any more ideas on this? I would greatly appreciate it.

The Domain file contains the structure of you're site the iWeb uses to work. As you know you need both the Domain file and the assets used on your site (pictures, text, video etc).
You need both to effectively edit an existing iWeb site.

If the Domain file you're opening is starting iWeb, it's a valid file but it isn't the file that matches you're site.
Search you're old Mac, your time machine backups, anywhere you can for Domain files. Keep each in a separate folder to avoid overwriting and try each one.

Another thought, you may have more than one domain file on your old mac.
