i recently discovered the amazing "footnotes" function in "Pages". It was hiding in plain sight. I am writing a document which uses lots of footnotes (FN) and occasionally i need to use the same footnote contents again.
So in the hopes of reducing the number of FN i would like to just refer to the same FN twice. So what i have been doing but realize the pitfall is i write the FN number in to the second word and then superscript it for the second instance of using the original FN...
This only seemed like a good idea as if i have to add a footnote in prior to the actual FN i am using as the master, the number changes which makes the fake FN out of sequence.
i know this is one FN over the line sweet ..... and tough to understand but does anyone know of a way to link another spot in the document to another FN ?
I tried cut and paste but that doggone program is "one less toke over the line" than me and it emphatically stymied me.
