I just updated my iPhone 6S to iOS 14.4 from 13. Now on my MacOS 12.8.2.3 system iTunes does not see it. I use iTunes to do backups to the Mac so I want it to continue working.

What is going on, and how do I fix it?

Looks like this is a reported issue and the way to fix is to install the slightly older version of iTunes 12.8.2 through this installer. During the install, or after it will update to be 12.8.2.3 again and that should work fine now.

Not sure what you mean by "MacOS 12.8.2.3." macOS is only up to 11.1. Can you help with some clarification?

Ah, I see Ashwin assumed it was iTunes version you gave, not macOS. I'll leave it to him, then.

Jake, yup, I'm assuming the OP has put the accurate info in their profile, so they have Macs running High Sierra and Mojave, and searches for 12.8.2.3 and iOS 14 yielded iTunes issues.

Thanks!! Yes, that seems to have worked fine! (y)(y) :smile

Hopefully this post will be a little clearer for others than the other postings I found were for this case.
