this is a bit hard to explain...

iPhone 12: when I'm playing Netflix, Max, etc.. and I minimize it (i.e., do the equivalent of pressing the Home button), before, it would continue to play in a small window, but that doesn't happen anymore... I asked someone, they said, upgrade iOS, I upgraded to 18.3.2, and it still doesn't work.. I minimize it and it just stops playing, the small window doesn't appear, and even the sound disappears.. it's probably a setting, but I don't know which one...

I hope I explained it ok...

would appreciate some help/suggestions.. thank you....

What happens if you use another video stream, e.g. BBC iPlayer - does the same thing happen?.

Just as an FYI, iOS 18.4 came out this week, or maybe last week.

Look in Settings -> General -> Picture in Picture, make sure it is enabled.

hi.... thank you for your response....

it is enabled already.... :-(

it's been working now, since about two days ago, only intermittently, and only with Netflix and Max... it doesn't work with my local cable TV co., or YouTube (is it supposed to work on YouTube (the app, of course))? I'm not on YT much...)

I have not changed any settings...

thank you.........

Things are always changing, unfortunately we're not always told about it.
On Prime, the nearest thing I have to Netflix, swiping up from the bottom of the screen on my iPhone 16e Minimises the view to a small screen I can drag around and access apps behind it. Touching ithe small screen brings up the little icon (top right) of a small rectangle overlapping a larger rectangle with an arrow pointing from small to large. Tapping that returns the screen to full size.

So, try dragging upwards from the bottom of your full screen view and see if that works for you.

But first do check ferrarr's suggestion: "Look in Settings -> General -> Picture in Picture, make sure it is enabled." It wont work without that on.
