Where is The Google Earth Cache File?

Some time ago, when I was a windows user, I was able to save the Google Earth cache file in a folder for off-line use. For example, I would go on-line, look at an area where I'd be 4x4ing, go off-line after covering a sufficient area, and then save the cache file in a folder for use on the trail. While driving on the trail, I would get out my pc and go to the folder containing the cache file (and properly re-name it so it would open), and then double click it. Google Earth would open up and I'd be able to see everything that I'd looked at prior to the 4x4 trip.

I've been trying to find the cache file on my MacBook Pro (OS X 10.7.4) and I've had virtually no luck. I've also searched high and low on Google, but the results only deal with deleting the cache...something I certainly do not want to do.

Can anyone tell me where the Google Earth cache folder is on my MacBook Pro and also tell me what the file extensions are for the Google Earth cache files?

I'd like to be able to use Google Earth on the trail when I'm out in the middle of nowhere with no internet access.

It should be located at "Users/Username/Librrary/Caches/Google Earth"

You know Ibanezi, I thought there would be a "Google Earth" folder, too. But there isn't....and I have it so that all files and folders are unhidden.

Do you have Google Earth on your MacBook? If so, can you actually find that folder? I'm going crazy trying to find the cache.

The only thing I can figure is that Google Earth somehow made it inaccessible.

If anyone else know for certain (Ibanezi used the phrase "should be", so it appears he doesn't know for certain), please let me know.
