YouTube to MP3 Converter

Wondering if there is a MAC equivalent to the software from DvdVideosoft
<FREE YouTube to MP3 Converter>? If not, what recommendations would the Forum members suggest?

There are several options for doing this on a Mac. I'm currently using a free program called ClipGrab.

You're welcome. I know there are many others out there. Some are browser plug ins and some are stand alone apps.

After I posted I remembered one thing I have had happen with Clipgrab. Once in a while, when downloading the YouTube video. the program crashes. IIRC it only happens if I am playing the vidoe while it is downloading and I try to go to a different YouTube page. You don't have to have the video playing in YouYube to download the video in ClipGrab.

Once again, Slydude - very much appreciated!! D/L and installed ClipGrab and now have my first attempt safely stored in Dropbox!! Apparently have to spread some Reputation around before giving it to you again!!

I have a few oyher apps that can download YouTube videos in addition to a few other things. I used to rely in a couple of browser extensions but dont remember what they were at the moment.

ClipGrab seems to work pretty well for me. As I mentioned above the occassional crashes seem to be related to starting a video download while it is playing in a window nd then trying to move to another page. My only complaint is that I wish the origress indicator gave a better indication of when a download was done.

That was actually my biggest complaint as well and I emailed Philipp about that back in 2012.
He was very responsive and replied pretty much right away that for the Mac he depended on Growl to indicate when the download was done.
I didn't pursue this further but in the meantime I actually got rid of growl completely.

However, the last few times I used ClipGrab I noticed that both in the window title and in the dock, it shows the percentage of the file that has been downloaded, so I look at that.
Not sure if that is relatively new or if I never noticed that before.

Besides ClipGrab, I use Video DownloadHelper with Firefox - if ClipGrab won't download a file, so far Video Downloadhelper has.
