10.1 updates on a G3

I have a G3 AIO, 256, 4 gig running 10.1 and I'm having probelms getting the machine to update to 10.1.5. Destination disk is always grayed out in the installers (combo updaters and security updates).
Anyone run into this issue?

Does the machine meet all of these prerequisites?

System Requirements

— Mac OS X 10.1 or later
— Mac OS X 10.1, 10.1.1, or 10.1.2
— Security Update 10-19-01 Installed
— Mac OS X 10.1 Installer Update installed

Aren't the first two prerequisites redundant?
What about Apple's insistence that Security Update 10-19-01 and Mac OS X 10.1 Installer Update are no longer necessary and that we should use Security Update 7-18-02 instead?

I'm having a similar problem with my iMac.
