My husband has an iMac, Fall of 08, running OS 10.10.5. He uses Firefox 78.15.Oeasr.
For several weeks he has been unable to access his yahoo mail there. I tried accessing in Safari on there too, but couldn't there either. Meanwhile he has been using my iMac OS 15.3.1, and accessing his yahoo mail fine on Safari (I don't have Firefox, and prefer NOT adding to mine). I also tried downloading Apple Mail on his computer, and using that to access his email, but that wouldn't work either.
I think it is the version of FF he is using. He is 86, very firmly set in his ways, and wants to use as is. Yesterday he got a message about 'automated activity (bots) on his network' when he questioned another website, & they included his IP address. IP 206.255.159/226
Could it be something with his IP address? Is there a way to change your IP?
I don't think FF can be upgraded on his computer. Am I correct? Very frustrated, and even have another computer, my old one, which will probably work, but he wants the one he has.
Anyone got any ideas or something else to try? Very frustrating
