I want to block a specific e-mail sender from my iMac when using "Microsoft Outlook for MAC", Version 16.68.

MacOS Ventura 13.1

How do I accomplish this?

Google doesn't show anything that will work on my machine.

I'm getting 50 or more e-mails virtually every day telling me that I've won this prize, or won that award, etc. Driving me nuts.

Click on the unsubscribe link and it crashes or asks for my e-mail address which I most certainly WILL NOT GIVE.

In advance, thanks.

First, who is your email provider? If it's a service like GMail, Yahoo or something, you can block the sender there. If you are using your ISP provided email or your own domain, check to see what blocking functionality you have there first.

Blocking on the email client should be the last thing you do since its the final stop before getting to your inbox.

If you have no choice but to do this in Outlook, check this out.

Above is a snapshot of what I get when tools - blocked senders is selected. Grayed out, not active.

What must I do to enable adding an address to this list?

I don't use Outlook, but I see a "+/-" at the bottom left corner. What happens if you click the "+" button?

Everything in the posted graphic is grayed out.

Somehow or another I think there's something I'm not doing properly or missing.

Go back and re-read this post and look at the first part and answer that.

My mail provider is optimum.net and all they "offer" for blocking e-mails is two external programs.

However, tomorrow I plan on calling them on the phone (IF I can connect with them) as perhaps I'm missing something in what I read on their website.

Alas, I did try . . . . and then uttered some words that made me glad my wife was not around when nothing changed.
