just a heads up to anyone who might use this printer, after installing Big Sur I can report that all is well.

I had to delete and re-install the printer in Sys Pref (as usual after any upgrade) and also re-install the Lightroom Canon Print Centre Pro plug-in, but everything is working just fine even though Canon have not updated the printer driver as yet.

Do you have to re-install the driver after every update? That would drive me bonkers. I couldn't tell you the last time I had to re-install the drivers for my Brother printer.

Long time no see. How are things going?

Hi :)

no, no need to re-install drivers, but every time the OS updates, for some reason Lightroom loses all my ICC paper profiles meaning I have to delete and re-install the printer in system preferences. It's no big deal - takes but 30 seconds but I wish I didn't have to!

also, Canon's Print Studio Pro LR plug-in needed re-installing after the upgrade to Big Sur.

Not been around much lately - been busy with this and that (restored a couple of old racing bikes, taking pictures, etc.). Feeling OK, but still fatigue is a major factor so I make hay while the sun shines and I have energy (so to speak).

It's been 6 years since my cancer diagnosis and I'm still in partial remission, but 3 monthly check-ups make it hard to relax and unwind much at all before stressing out over the next series of tests.

but hey, it's better than the alternative!!

Glad to know you are doing relatively well. After the last couple of weeks, I can attest to how annoying recurring fatigue can be.

Unfortunately, I don't have a solution to your printing problem.
