My Trash on iMac running Lion has, I believe, always worked OK but today I noticed that when I dragged some files from Finder to Trash they (and any other files that may have been in Trash) disappear. Trash is permanently empty. I am not aware of having changed any settings. How can I chnage this so that Trash fills and I can decide whether to empty Trash?
