I have a book on CD and I would like to import the audio as an audio book, not as music.

Me too. How do you get your ripped audiobook CD's to show up in the "audiobooks" section in the source browser? I may have missed something simple, or it may be impossible, for all I know.

I could be wrong, but don't you just set the Genre to 'Audiobook'?

Hope that helps.

That doesn't work for me. The genre Audiobook shows up under the genre list in the Music section, but the Audiobook section is still empty. I doesn't make a big difference in iTunes, but on the iPod itself it would be convenient to split those apart. A dynamic playlist would work as well, but shouldn't it be possible to use the category that is already set up?

When it is imported you can't just drag it to audiobooks after it's loaded?

No effect. The blue circle that highlights where the dragged item will be dropped is over "Library," and nothing changes.

Doug's applescript didn't work

It still loaded as Music and not an audiobook. Surely, there must be something encoded by Apple that tells iTunes this is an audiobook. The file extension obviously does not--Help!
