Last week I updated my Macbook Pro. I think it might have been a beta version, but am not 100% sure.

Since then I am having problems how my mouse works.

Two days ago my mouse was only right clicking when I was left clicking. That stopped.

Now my mouse won't open desktop folders on a double click. I have to right click and choose open.

When I double click a browser folder on my bottom task bar the brower opens but it takes time.

Is this problem happeing to anyone else?

I ran malwarebytes and thankfully no problems were found. Recently I started using a KVM switch that came with my docking station. I don't know if that causes an issue.

Cut out the KVM and see if the problem goes away. Is the Mac in question the one in your profile? What verson of macOS did you update to? What mouse are you using?

What you are seeing is not common to all, so it has to be something in your system/setup.

I disconnected my Mac from the KVM switch and the problem persists.
I see that I have turned off the upgrade beta. So it's not a beta problem.

I am running MacOS Sequoia version 15.4. 2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

The problem also continues even with the. mouse pad on the Mabcook Pro.

Open Settings and in the search bar enter "gestures." There should be three options in the left sidebar, one for Accessability and two for Mouse and Trackpad. Check to see what settings are there for each and set them as you want them to work.

Everything seems to be okay from settings. But I still can't open the desktop folders with two clicks. I have to right click. Maybe I need a new mouse?

Try going to Settings, Accessibility, Mouse & Trackpad and adjust the double click speed.

I was going to post that this was why my folders would not open with a double click. It turns out the Double-click speed for my Mouse & Trackpad was too fast. After slowing it down my folders now open with a double click.
