I was really hoping for a new cinema display, as I'm trying to get the old one cheap (I don't like the stupid shiny stuff anyhow (which also means I'm super happy about the 17" macbook pro's non-shiny screen, as -- though its unlikely that I'd ever get such an overly huge, and not realy very portable, notebook I think they'll probably put that option on macbooks soon)). I was also expecting a mac mini, but I don't really want them, although I would probably get my gramma one for her birthday if it came out (she got an old iMac, though).
I especially liked the software updates. The iWork system seemed like a nice "it just works" solution to the problem of sharing when doing a project and not in the same room as other group members. It looked like a good alternative to those sharing programs and browser based systems are nice, as they don't need a program. It would also help me with school, 'cause I hate my USB and my school doesn't support most mac formats so the reformatting is great. But, like usual it will be a super-expensive mac prodct that no one will adopt. I think, if they made that free, or like free for anyone who got some code with their copy of iWork

(or some other such deal), apple would have way ore people switch to iWork. Unfortunately, I fear that this will be a not-very-adopted, yet really potentially nice service that no one will use for its price.

I am happy about the other updates. I don't use iPhoto much, but I can imagine showing off my albums with that Google map and clicking on pins. I think that feature alone would make most people I know convert to mac, if done nicely. Because of this, wil probably adopt iPhoto. Maybe I'll scan all my round world trip pictures. That would be so neat. And its integration with facebook, flickr and that camera or iPhone with GPS (which Apple has convinced me to buy for sure) is just beautiful. The faces feature is great too, but I am more impressed with the places.
The iWork updates are my personal favourites, though, as they seem very useful to me. I have already purchased a program to help with concentrating on writing that does the exact same thing, but the word processor, itself, has none of Page's great features. IO think full screen will come most in handy for me, when I'm writing (especially essays and such), but the Keynote/ iPhone/ iTouch integration is just neat. I have used the remote app before and I think getting up to make a presentation and pulling out my iPhone with that would just be so neat!

I love how Apple makes they're products work so perfectly with each other!
In conclusion, I'd have to say my favourite things from the keynote are full screen pages view and guitarlessons. I've come across guitar lessons programs before (including a text based one I made when fiddling with sripts, where the strings are all dashes

), but this one seems really nice.
Cant wait to get new iWork/ iLife. I think I'll buy that boxed set. It seems like a good deal.
The battery thing seems great but I don't think it really affects many people. I never see anyone using the 17" macbook pros so its too bad that didn'[t do the same updates to other macbooks, but ,in general, it was a good update!
