Ok long story short I have had my MacBook for 19 months and in that time I have had:

1. Trackpad replaced
2. Top Case including screen replaced due to stress cracks in the hinges
3. New Top Case because the replacment screen had 8 LEDs broken along the bottom of the screen
4. Airport WiFi card replaced due to signal issues
5. Bottom rubber case replaced due to blistering and pealing

And now the GENIUS at the Genius bar says my Logic Board is buggered and that is what is causing my screen to randomly go Blue (aka BSOD from my old PC days only restarting seems to fix). And my "S E D F and C" keys are fading. So since I didn't take out MAC Care what are my options as the $610 for a new Logic Board on a MacBook that seems to have been put together on a Friday afternoon is less than appealing. Any chances Apple would come to the party and say hey we have replaced everything else why not this. Oh and it is well looked after just used for surfing the web in the lounge room.

If you had purchased Apple care, you would have had a new machine by now. I guess you can always elevate the difficulties you're having on up the ladder of responsibility at Apple and see if they'll sympathize with you and replace the machine for free.

You can also get that computer repaired for less than $300 if you use Apple's mail in service. But, speaking to Apple Customer Relations certainly wouldn't hurt.

What would I have to do to ramp this up the apple chain in Australia here (Queensland) we only have 2 Apple stores both a fair distance away. Do they have an email address or would I be better off calling phone support

I would think it's better to speak with a live person by phone if you can't get to an Apple store. I'm sure Apple has local customer support contact numbers in Australia. The best way in my opinion though, is speak face to face with someone in management at an Apple store in Queensland.
